What a glorious gift we were given!!! The only Son was sacrificed so we may have eternal life. He bore the burden of all sins in the past and all sins in the future. He was beaten beyond recognition. They hung him on the cross until his last breath was "It is finished". But His reign was just beginning!!! This sacrifice was the ultimate gift for all of mankind.

Easter Sunday
Easter has always been a holy holiday at our house. The resurrection of our Savior is the cornerstone of our faith. It is the core of our existence. That being said, no Easter lunch tomorrow after church... After church Dugger and his kids are going to other grandparents/parents, Dr. H is studying for his license exam (very important, shingles set him back), and Em is writing her dissertation. I am so thankful that each one knows the real reason for the celebration. Our Savior is risen, alive, and ever present in our lives.
He is risen
John 20: 1-19. The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 2. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. 3. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. 4. So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 5. And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. 6. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, 7. And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. 8. Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. 9. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. 10. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

John 19 An innocent man is killed to save the world
John 19 gave the account of the single most horrific miscarriage of justice, but it had to come to fruition or there would be no hope for mankind. "And while we were yet sinners Christ died for us..." Romans 5:8

Not so very good, bad day
Two steps forward and three steps back... And so goes the pathway of grief. Why does it weigh you down to the point of suffocating??? There are times when I feel like my heart is physically broken. My eyes just fill with tears. I am so unaware... it's crazy! God knows how much I miss her... I pray that my Savor will give me some relief. Today was tough... Praying tomorrow will be better... #amazinggrace

Wednesday scripture before Easter
Mark 9:31
Because he was teaching his disciples. He said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.”
Welcome
Welcome to my attempt to be a blogger. This should be an interesting ride!
I'm a Christian, wife, mother, Nona, and educator. I've been something to someone my entire life. I'm hoping to find out what I am to myself through this process.
I plan on blogging about religion, philosophy, common sense, giving back, education, politics, recipes, fashion, fads, etc. So in other words, a little of everything. :)
